About This Course
The Intermediate Botulinum Toxin course expands your treatment capability beyond the standard three areas into the zones that require greater anatomical knowledge, greater dosing precision, and a clearer understanding of the muscle dynamics that determine outcome. Each area covered in this course carries specific risks and rewards that are best approached with dedicated clinical training rather than trial and error in your own clinic.
This is the course that takes your botulinum toxin practice from a narrow foundation into a comprehensive clinical offering — and that prepares you for the advanced techniques in Level 3.
What You Will Learn
Brow lifting and brow shaping
The anatomy of brow position and movement. Chemical brow lift technique — which muscles to relax, which to preserve. Achieving the natural arch without the surprised look.
Bunny lines (nasalis)
Anatomy of the nasalis muscle. Why bunny lines appear, when they are appropriate to treat, and the injection points that avoid spreading to adjacent muscles.
Lip flip and peri-oral lines
The orbicularis oris and its relationship to lip appearance. The lip flip technique — conservative dosing, the risk of speech and eating changes, and how to manage patient expectations.
Chin dimpling (mentalis)
Mentalis muscle anatomy, the characteristic cobblestone appearance, injection technique and dosing to smooth chin texture without affecting lip movement or smile.
Platysmal bands — neck
The platysma anatomy, band identification, Nefertiti neck technique introduction, dosing and injection points. The risks of treating too deep or with excessive volume.
Gummy smile correction
Anatomy of the upper lip elevator muscles, gummy smile classification, injection technique for each type, and the very specific dosing requirements that make this a high-precision treatment.
Downturn of the mouth corners
Depressor anguli oris anatomy and function. Treating the oral commissure area safely — the fine margin between improvement and ptosis of the corner of the mouth.
Dosing precision across all areas
How dosing logic changes between the standard and intermediate areas. The relationship between muscle bulk, gender, age, and the appropriate starting dose for each treatment area.
